Exceptionally compact and lightweight instrument balances nicely on the head providing comfort even during extended use. For greater wearing comfort, the headband and crown band are padded at all points which come into contact with the user's head. Headband and crown band are adjustable for obtaining maximum wearing comfort and support. Ratcheting knobs provide fast, simple, and positive adjustments. Optical unit can be precisely adjusted and locked at the optimum height and inclination angle. Pupillary distance easily adjusted with spring-loaded knobs which can be locked into position. Cord clips for the power cord can be positioned on either the right or left side of the headband to insure that the cord does not interfere with the arm holding the aspheric lens. The mirror adjustment knobs have silicon rubber caps which can be detached for sterilization including auto-claving. The halogen quartz lamp provides a very brilliant illumination with a color temperature of approximately 3,300K. The transformer can be used on a table or mounted on a wall.
A switch hook is included which allows the transformer to be turned ON when the instrument is removed from the cradle and automatically turns OFF when the instrument is replaced. The filter plate is supplied as a standard accessory and incorporates a red-free green, cobalt blue, and UV filters. A wide range of optional accessories are available including multi-coated aspherical lenses, double-teaching mirror, scleral depressor, carrying case and rechargeable battery pack set. Rugged, lightweight carrying case is available for carrying the Model ID-5 and most of its optional accessories. |
